AUGUST 2010

Well, our letterpress "Veg Bags 1 doz" have gone down well - with press already lined up in the coming October edition of Livingetc and the November edition of Country Living! Made using genuine antique wooden lettering and traditional hand operated presses, each one is a veritable work of art – the perfect way to package up your garden surplus gifts! These are just the beginning of a whole new chapter (if you'll excuse the pun!), and with the new Dead Sea salt and Epsom salts range now up and running, with Salt No 1: Lavender and Peppermint now available to buy, the letterpress project is very much a case of 'watch this space'!

We've also completed development on our Classic Cold Cream, and this, along with fresh new batches of Rosa Plena and Rose Orange lotions (now in their beautiful new blue bottles), is available to buy via the quick links on the left-hand side of every page. Don't forget that also in the pipeline are a delicious ghassoul (rassoul) and olive facial wash, a sensational organic chocolate body lotion, and – going through the final stages of development as I write – a wonderful wild nettle and olive oil liquid shampoo.
Life here is a non-stop helter-skelter of development fun!

As ever, these products are all handmade from completely natural raw materials in our very own little works. Unlike a lot of supposedly ‘natural’ products manufacturers, we don’t buy readymade base products and then mix in a little bit of something that smells OK … Everything we make is unique, exclusive, and unbeatable (unless you’re lucky enough to know one of our own-label trade customers, that is …)

We’re not an aromatherapy company. What we do goes deeper than that. We’re not a mass-market manufacturer. Our products are made to a standard, not to a price. Neither are we a classic ‘craft’ operation. Our ‘small’ batches number, on average, a hundred units at a time. We’re the product of thirty years' close study of ancient books, and experiments designed around the fabulous herbal materials that kept people smelling sweet,
and living in comfortable homes, for generations past.

In August, we're off for a few days at Goodwood – that's the hot new festival, 'Vintage at Goodwood', to be precise! If you're going to be at this amazing new event over the weekend of August 13th to 15th, please do make sure you drop by to say hello and
enter our bumper prize draw!
