The one thing you need when you're working hard on your plot is a proper enamel mug for a proper cup of tea!And then of course, while you're enjoying those luscious beef tomatoes with your own home-grown basil, you need a decent plate to eat them from.
And if that plate is enamel, you can't break it … and if that enamel plate has a raised edge, you can also use it for cereal or stew, and for eating with the plate balanced on your lap without fear of juice-related disasters!
Then of course there's the tying in, which is a constant job during the first part of the Summer, and (actually) one of the most satisfying bits of the pottering schedule. So here you have: one lovely enamel mug, one fabulous enamel lipped plate, and one big spool of our 'Everlasto' jute twine.
But there's more: you want to protect your hands from the dehydrating effect of all that lovely compost.
